New Jersey pays for this care. The state has programs that pay for in-home help for adults with developmental disabilities, and Lift is an approved provider in some of those programs.
You can pick the caregiver. A family member, a trusted friend, or someone else. We hire them and pay them the highest rates in the state.
The highest pay in New Jersey
$28–40/hr
All caregivers earn $28 to $40 an hour: $28 for normal care, $40 when the state rates their loved one as higher needs (called “acuity”).
The only programs we work with
Lift only works with the NJ DDD Supports Program or Community Care Program. On a care plan, our services are called Community Based Supports (CBS) or Individual Supports (IS).

Are You Eligible?
We serve adults 21 and older on New Jersey's two programs for this care: the Supports Program and the Community Care Program. Not on them yet, or not sure? Reach out. We're happy to walk you through how to apply.
Are You Connected?
Caregivers use a simple phone app to check in and out of each visit — the state requires it. If you can text and use basic apps, you're all set.
Do You Have a Caregiver in Mind?
It helps, but it's not required. Many families pick someone they already trust: family, friends, or neighbors. Don't have anyone? We'll help you find the right person.
